Barley Island is the 17th century term for an alehouse room in which beer was consumed. Although just a couple of years old, Barley Island has built an evening tradition in Noblesville. Open only on Thurs - Sun for lunch, evenings are the real time to be there. Architecture is sort of Irish with stained glass shamrocks. Sunday is acoustic and Wednesday is electric rock open mike. Bands play Fri - Sat evenings. Check out Noblesville local cable channel 19 for live broadcast. They are starting to have their beers available in some liquor stores. Look for Dirty Helen hanging out in the beer aisle. The bar front is from an Irish pub in Brownsburg.
