Belmont Beverage

There are a number of Belmont's in Fort Wayne but by far the best is the new one on the far north side:

Next to a Munchie Emporium that has only 6 taps.

This location has 7 doors of interesting beers and quite a large area of warm shelves. 500+ titles. It's really the only one that gets beer from multiple distributors. You'll find the World Class Beverages catalog at the others but not Stone's beers, for instance.

Additionally, they have Mad Anthony 6-packs at $6.49. They are $7.50 at the brewery.

There are 26 Belmont stores (including South Bend and Mishawaka). The only other one we found in Fort Wayne worth a darn is at

2799 Maplecrest Rd.

It has 3 doors of micros/imports and 1 decently large rack of warm beer.

SCV Liquors

260-497-87776 interesting doors and a decent shelf area. Opens at 9am.

Some of the Scott's Supermarkets are building better beer and wine areas but we don't hold out much hope of a large improvement. But the Scott's at 5214 Decatur Rd are getting another new Belmont's across the parking lot. (as of Feb. 2004).
