Their slogan, "Home of the Coldest Beer in a Million Miles" might not be more reassuring to a beer lover than the smiley face sign but the Friendly in Muncie is a true beer store with 400+ titles in their cooler.

If you're stopping off Interstate 69 you might find what you're looking for at the Yorktown store without going the final 6 miles into town. The Chesterfield store is much smaller and mentioned here only to be complete.

Back to the Muncie Campus store - so called because it's only 4 blocks off the Ball State campus. There are 10 interesting doors in the cooler and they only one small display of warm beer - all overflow that will go into the cooler soon. Many stores (including some of the best) keep pale ales and lagers warm but we much prefer to see them kept cold.You can mix & match right out of the 6-packs in the coolers. Priced singly they are 1/6th the cost of the 6-pack plus 15¢ and you get a $1 discount on a full mixed 6-pack. There are also occasional specials.
